Head Loss Analysis
Interested in comparing the head loss, pumping energy requirements or slope gradients in different pipe materials? The Hydraulic Flow Calculator will assist in the process of pipe selection by analyzing the difference in flow loss between glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) pipe and other traditional pipe materials. For full flow conditions with pumping, the program will also estimate the energy required to overcome frictional losses and their net present value. For partial flow situations, the differences in pipe hydraulic properties will manifest in either the diameter of pipes chosen or their slope, based on the user’s request.
