This case study features a DN600 sewerage force main, PN10, that helped link two drainage areas with an aging treatment plant to the central plant in Gersthofen. Flowtite pipe was selected for this project due to the corrosive soil conditions in the muddy Schmutter river valley. Initially the flow in the pipeline will be low so there was concern with internal corrosion as well. In order to minimize transversing private property, over 52 custom elbows were incorporated in the pipeline.

This illustrates the benefit of being able to fabricate a turning angle of any degree with Flowtite mitered elbows. The 3400 meter line was completed in 1995, on schedule
