The Mission
Flowtite Technology's mission today is to continue to be the world leader in glass-reinforced polymer pipe technology through the following actions:
Invest in continuos improvement to the quality and reliability of FLOWTITE pipe and the manufacturing process
Expanding the applications where FLOWTITE is a cost-effective solution
Selectively licensing it's proprietary pipe manufacturing technology throughout the world
Providing pipe know-how and manufacturing equipment, including on a turn-key basis
Offering a full range of services, including training, promotional aids and custom design to licensees
Providing technology upgrades, along with spare-parts, keeping the family of licensees as world leaders
Products and Services
The Company's proprietary technology includes the highly advanced continuously advancing mandrel process used to produce glass-reinforced FLOWTITE pipes in diameters ranging from 100mm (4-inch) to 4000mm (157-inch).
Although the process was originally invented in Denmark in the late 60`s, countless improvements in both the product and process technology continue even today.
Pipe with operating pressures up to 32 bar (450 psig), diameter dependent, can be accommodated. To accommodate a wide range in burial and installation conditions, FLOWTITE pipe is also available in three stiffness classes (EI/D3) - 2500, 5000 and 10000 N/m2.
Custom designed pipes to meet unusual performance or installation conditions can also be accommodated.
Each Flowtite operation has a well-trained staff of field engineers. For each project, the field engineers work with the installation contractor, engineer and owner to ensure that the proper installation of FLOWTITE pipe is understood and achieved.
Applications
FLOWTITE pipes have been used for a diverse range of applications, including:
- Water supply (transmission and distribution) - municipal, industrial and agricultural
- Wastewater collection - domestic and industrial
- Sea outfalls - sanitary and stormwater
- Stormwater collection and retainage
- Sea water intake/outfalls - circulating cooling water for power and petrochemical industries
- Penstocks - hydroelectric power generation
- Sliplining - sewer renewal and structural reinforcement for pressure pipes
- Microtunneling - pipe jacking
